Williams

Christopher J. Williams is a principal of the General Partner, Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Manager, and a member of the Fund’s Investment Committee. He leads overall administrative oversight and is actively involved in all aspects of General Partner and Fund operations, investment origination, and investor relations.

 

He is also Chairman of and co-founder of SWS, America’s largest women and minority-owned investment bank. Mr. Williams previously served as Chairman and CEO of The Williams Capital Group, L.P. from 1994-2019. Mr. Williams began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1984, and over the course of his tenure, assumed senior management responsibilities in debt capital markets, derivatives, and fixed income trading. He then formed a derivatives division of Jefferies & Company, which later became The Williams Capital Group, L. P. in 1994.

 

Mr. Williams has been recognized by Crain’s New York Business, Fortune magazine, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal for his leadership in the financial services industry. Mr. Williams is a member of the board of directors of several public companies including Ameriprise Financial, the Clorox Company and Union Pacific Corporation. He is also a director of privately held Cox Enterprises, Inc. He also previously served for ten years on the Wal Mart Stores, Inc., board of directors. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Howard University and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
